The 7 1/2" long, 1 1/2" wide 18/10 stainless-steel knife and spreader accompanying the cheese block echos the theme with an acacia accent.
Designer Neil Cohen uses acacia, a dense, durable hardwood, not only for the beauty of its finely patterned grain of varying shades but for its practicality. Being naturaly resinous acacia will not absorb stains or cheese odors.
Because the knife and sreader are made of 18/10 stainless steel and are rust-resistant they are considered dishwasher safe.
Nambe items made with wood may be washed by hand using a mild detergent and a soft cloth. Dry these products immediately with a soft cloth. Do not place items made with wood in the dishwasher and do not leave wood in standing water for extended periods of time.
Nourish wood surfaces with mineral oil applied with a #0000 grade super fine steel wool or a soft cloth; let stand for one hour, wash away excess with a mild detergent and soft cloth, then dry immediately with a soft cloth. |
